  • The UC Berkeley Amgen & Genentech Scholars Program invite you to attend the 2009 Poster Session and Oral Presentations. Come and join the campus community in support of the 2009 Amgen & Genentech Scholars and learn about their summer research at the following events:

    • Amgen & Genentech Scholars Poster Session Monday, August 3rd, 12 noon-2 pm, Lipman Room (8th Floor of Barrows Hall) (Lunch will be provided)

    • Amgen & Genentech Scholars Oral Presentation Session I Wednesday, August 5th, 9 am-12:45 pm, 106 Stanley Hall

    • Amgen & Genentech Scholars Oral Presentation Session II Thursday, August 6th, 9 am-12:45 pm, 106 Stanley Hall

  • Transfer Alliance Project Summer Research Colloquium

    The Center for Educational Partnerships invites you to attend the Third Annual Transfer Alliance Project Research Colloquium and Recognition Reception, on Thurs., Aug. 13, 2009, at the Faculty Club. 

    • Research Presentations, 1:00-4:15 pm, by community college students who conducted independent research mentored by UC Berkeley faculty.
    • Recognition Reception, 4:30 – 6:30 pm

    The Transfer Alliance Project prepares low-income students from partner community colleges to be competitive for Berkeley admission.  In 2009, more than 80% of TAP applicants (>230) were admitted to Berkeley, compared to state-wide transfer rates of 27% to UCB.
